Fall means apples!!! We leaned about informational text and all about apples. We wrote a procedural text on making applesauce, tasted apples, and graphed our favorite variety of apple. Plus, learned about matter and how heat causes changes in matter. Thanks Mrs. B and Mrs. Moreno for the wonderful help making applesauce.
We will be having our annual District Improvement Plan (DIP) Meeting on September 22, 2025 at 4:45PM in the Teacher’s Lounge. At this meeting our local site-based committee reflects on last year’s data and sets new goals and targets for the new school year. All are welcome to join. First grade's Literacy - STEM lesson with The Three Billy Goats Gruff. They became engineers for the day to create a boat to get the goats across the river because the troll destroyed the bridge.
At the regular school board meeting for the month of September, the Rochelle ISD board of trustees took action to approve a minor update to the school calendar for this school year. Hornet Cross Country competed this morning in Lometa. Tori Kilgore placed 3rd and Hadlee Cavness placed 9th. Another strong week of improvement with many of our athletes setting new PRs! Way to go Hornets!
