Tonight we honored our seniors prior to each game. These students-athletes have done a phenomenal job of representing our school and community! We are proud of these students and are excited to see all the amazing things they will each do.

Join us tonight for Senior Night as we celebrate our amazing seniors! Girls tip off at 6:00 PM and the Boys game to follow!
We invite you to stick around after the games for dessert with our senior boys and girls as we honor them one last time on their home court. See you at the gym, Hornet fans!

The Junior High Lady Hornets and Junior High Hornets hosted the Lohn Eagles this evening at home. The girls played with lots of heart but fell a bit short while the boys team came away with another district win. The PTC has a meeting scheduled for Thursday (January 29th) at 4:30pm in the school cafeteria. Hope to see you there!

The Rochelle ISD will delay the opening of school until 10:30AM on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Principal Wilson will share an updated bell schedule for Wednesday at the start of school tomorrow. Students can enter the main building of the campus when they arrive. Given the start time of the school day tomorrow, we will not be serving breakfast in the cafeteria prior to the start of school.
An additional change to our normal operations is a change in the location of the Brady Bus Stop. Given the condition of our normal bus stop on Highway 190, we are temporarily relocating the Brady Bus Stop to the old Super S Parking Lot located at 301 E. Commerce St in Brady. This will be the location of the Brady Bus Stop for the remainder of this week (both Wednesday and Thursday of this week). We appreciate our friends at Brady ISD and the County Judge and Commissioners for allowing us to temporarily use the old Super S Parking lot as our bus stop for students and parents that live in Brady.

Girls played tough. Boys took the Win
100% hustle from everyone—proud of these kids! 💙 Go Hornets! 🐝

The Varsity Hornets and Lady Hornets traveled to Paint Rock tonight. The Lady Hornets came away with a solid win. The Varsity Hornets fell a bit short of the win. Both teams played with a lot of heart and showed continued growth.

💙💛Last night didn’t go our way, but Hornet pride runs deeper than the scoreboard. We’ll be back. 🐝🏀

🤠 Hats off to Trey Evans, for a great performance at the Grandstand in Kerrville today. Way to represent and compete! Keep up the hard work! 👏 We are proud of you! 🐝

Rochelle ISD Junior, Trey Evans, is showing at Grandstand in Kerrville today. He received a blue ribbon for his custom correction bit. Though his trailer did not fit in a category at this competition, the judge did provide a critique of it for him. At 4:00pm today the show will host an awards ceremony. We wish Trey the best of luck through the day.

Here is an important update from the PTC.

A huge thank you to our donors for helping make our new gym chairs a reality! We’d also like to give a special shoutout to Down Home Gifts and Custom Designs in Brady for taking our vision for the plaques and bringing it to life so perfectly.
If you haven’t seen them yet, you’ll have the opportunity tonight as our Hornets and Lady Hornets take on Eden at home at 6:00 and 7:15!
This project would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community, alumni, and staff. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Rochelle! The Athletic Department is truly grateful for your generosity and continued support of our athletic program! Go Hornets!

At the Rochelle ISD school board meeting, our school honored our students of the month (Jasper Boshears, Faxton McBee, and Jazlynn Salas) and our teacher of the month, Mrs. Cavness. Our students did a fantastic job of honoring our board members for school board appreciation month.
