Another great week for Rochelle Golf! Men's and the women's teams both took 1st place in a very competitive Rising Star Tournament. Merek was first place individual overall and Klee was 4th on the ladies side.

Celebrating Excellence at Rochelle ISD!
We are proud to recognize the incredible achievements of our Employee and Students of the Month. These individuals have demonstrated exceptional dedication, talent, and hard work. Let's give them a well-deserved round of applause!
Employee of the Month: Dylan Mendez
Dylan is a para-professional at Rochelle ISD who consistently goes above and beyond. He coaches Football, Basketball, and Track, volunteers to run the clock at Pee Wee games, and is facilitating our Friday school this week. Dylan has built strong rapport with our elementary students, serving as a positive role model. A proud graduate of Rochelle ISD, Dylan is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree online at Angelo State University. Thank you, Dylan, for your dedication to both the students and the community!
High School Student of the Month: Sydney Smith
Sydney, a senior at Rochelle ISD, has been accepted to Texas State University where she plans to earn a Bachelor’s in Political Science and become a lawyer. She has been a standout athlete, qualifying for state in both golf and track the past two years and aiming for year 3! Sydney is also an accomplished Congress competitor, medaling this year. Additionally, she is an All-American Cheerleader and an Academic All-State honoree in Volleyball. Sydney, we are so proud of all you’ve achieved and excited for your bright future!
Middle School Student of the Month: Jaceion Mendez
Jaceion, a 6th grader, has shown outstanding academic performance and character. With phenomenal test scores, great work ethic, and only one absence this year, Jaceion is an exceptional role model for his peers. He plays football, basketball, and track, and has dreams of playing in the NFL. Keep aiming high, Jaceion—your dedication is inspiring!
Elementary Student of the Month: Nathan Duque
Nathan, a 4th grader, has perfect attendance this year and maintains excellent grades. He is passionate about football and can’t wait to play 6-man football at Rochelle ISD. His teacher, Ms. Rolf, says Nathan is an outstanding young man, and we couldn’t agree more! Keep up the great work, Nathan!

I like Green Eggs and Ham, Kinder I am!

Hornet Golf had a great week. First we attended the Millsap JV Tournament on Monday. Chris, Kendrick and Xavier all shot personal bests. Then Wednesday we attended the Millsap Varsity Tournament. This is one of the toughest courses our kids have played and the wind made it worse, but our kids battled. I didn't have high expectations going into this tournament only for us to get better. We were one of the only 1As there and there were lots of 2,3,4 and even 5A schools there. The tournament was full with 100 boys and 60 girls. I just wanted us to compete. We definitely did that. The girls got third place as a team and the boys barely missed getting third place as well. As always I am proud of these kids.

Lots of action at Rising Star from our junior high track athletes! Great job, Hornets and Lady Hornets!
