With the conclusion of the summer now having been reached, our faculty and staff welcomed back all of our Hornets this morning, Monday, August 4th. This summer has been filled with a number of projects stemming from the Rochelle ISD Bond 2024 package. Though we encountered hurdles and challenges, we are excited to see this phase of construction behind us. A special thank you is extended to the faculty and staff at our school as well as the school board and community members that stopped by to help us over the past few weeks.
Looking to this school year, our new principal, Mrs. Wilson, led the teachers through multiple professional and staff development sessions this past week. We have several exciting changes in store of this year, and I know Mrs. Wilson and the faculty are excited to see those changes come to life.
As a reminder, our school start and stop times changed this year. For this year, our start time is 7:50AM and our day ends at 4:21PM. Students will need to arrive to school by 7:45AM each day in order to provide enough time to get to class before the tardy bell at 7:50AM. Students that arrive to school early are to proceed to the cafeteria for breakfast.
We are excited to see our athletic programs get underway this year. Coach Matt Maciel leads the boys athletic squads for the third season, and Coach Kelby Maciel leads the girls athletic squads for the third season. UIL Academic programs get underway this week as well.
There is still time to register new students for the 2025-2026 school year. Interested families can reach out to us at 325-243-5224 or fill out the 2025-2026 Transfer Request form found at the top of homepage at www.rochelleisd.net.
