Great game tonight at Evant for the Varsity Hornets! The Hornets returned the kick-off to start the third quarter to end the game (53-6)!

Remember, a healthy, drug-free life is the way to be! Let’s make this Red Ribbon Week unforgettable!

Kindergarten using the design process to build a spagetti/mashmellow tower. Impressive how well they followed the plan they designed. They quickly realized going to the next step of redesigning was needed. Stay tuned.. next week we will collaberate and come up with a plan to build a taller free-standing tower. I loved the thought process from these boys and girls. Great effort, Kinder engineers!

The Rochelle JH Football squad lost a tough and close game tonight at home 26-18. We are proud of their improvement and effort!

All,
I want to start by saying thank you for making this the most amazing school district I have ever been a part of. Being a Hornet is a gift. From day one, my goal has been to promote school spirit without sacrificing instructional time. Last year, there were no pep rallies. It was clear that this year, we needed to bring pep rallies back. The question was: How many do we need to have? My experience has taught me that balance is critical. Too many pep rallies, and they lose their spunk and become monotonous (like they did before); not enough pep rallies and school spirit goes down. So from there, the plan was to have a pep rally at ALL home games, ALL playoff games, and most importantly, the Richland Springs game; for the other games, we set attendance and behavioral goals to have pep rallies.
After reflecting on the feedback we have received, I feel it's in our best interest to host a pep rally each and every week of the football season starting today at 3:45.
