Rochelle School is a PreK-12 1A school in central Texas (a 10-minute drive from Brady, Texas). Our total enrollment is a little over 200 students annually. We are a small rural school built on traditional country values. Our students perform very well on state assessments and in extracurricular activities. Rochelle ISD uses an innovative 4-day workweek model; teachers and students have off all Fridays with the exception of the first Friday each month! Rochelle ISD is the only school in Region 15 that has applied for and has been approved to receive Teacher Incentive Allotment performance funding that recognizes the efforts of effective, master teachers.

MS MATH TEACHER ($3500 Retention/Hiring Stipend for 23-24)

Rochelle ISD has an opening for a middle school (grades 6-8) math teacher. Our high school math teacher teaches two sections of math for each of the three grade levels. Rochelle ISD operates on a 4-day school week and is home to the highest state accountability score (a 99) out of all of the public-school districts in the entire state of Texas!

State Certification (or the ability to acquire it over the course of the year) is required for this position. Our teachers use proven systems such as Eduphoria, IXL, Alecs, Sirius, and iStation; we offer great support if you are unfamiliar with these systems. Our classrooms are equipped with document cameras and wireless tablets. We are a 1-to-1 campus - every teacher and student has a laptop.

Teachers are paid according to the Rochelle ISD salary schedule. We are paying all of our teachers a retention stipend of $3,500 this upcoming school year. There is a high-needs stipend associated with this position. Various stipends exist for UIL Academic competitions and other extracurricular activities and duties. Our district participates in the Teacher Incentive Allotment, a program that awards high-performing teachers financially each year. Aside from the opportunity to receive stipends, the district pays $225 toward insurance, offers $500 for 20+ year veteran teachers, the possibility of a distinction Christmas Bonus, air-medical family coverage, and an inexpensive school employee daycare.

Rochelle ISD has an opening for a high school (grades 9-12) English/Language Arts teacher. Our high school ELAR teacher teaches English I, English II, English III, and English IV. CTE (AUDIO/VIDEO TECH - COMPUTER APPS) & THEATER TEACHER (SECONDARY) ($3500 Retention/Hiring Stipend for 23-24)

We are seeking a secondary computer teacher that will teach Audio/Video Technology, Digital Media, and Photography. This assignment includes serving as the yearbook sponsor and OAP Sponsor. Our ideal candidate will have experience teaching computer information systems classes such as Audio/Video Production, Digital Media, Principles of Information Technology, etc. Candidates that have experience with UIL Computer Applications and UIL Computer Science are encouraged to apply. An opportunity and stipend is available for individuals with working knowledge and desire to direct students in One Act Play in both JH and HS.

State Certification (or the ability to acquire it over the course of the year) is required for the position. Salary is commensurate with experience. Multiple stipends are available for UIL coaches and directors. Special stipends are awarded as student performance (in UIL and OAP) increases. Aside from the opportunity to receive stipends, the district pays $225 toward insurance, offers $500 for 20+ year veteran teachers, the possibility of a distinction Christmas Bonus, air-medical family coverage, and an inexpensive school employee daycare. Our district is also participating in the Teacher Incentive Allotment - we are the first district in Region 15 with a fully approved system.
