Linda Beam

Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Beam

Hornet

Taking the quote from the Forrest Gump, "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are going to get," can be applied to teaching. I like to think teaching is like a box of chocolate, one never knows what each day will bring, but does know many great moments will happen.
After an 18 year career in floral design, I graduated from Howard Payne University with a degree in secondary history and English and elementary education. I am completing my 30th year of teaching, five at Mason and twenty-five at Rochelle. My current assignment is 6th and 7th grade history, reading, and English.  I have been fortunate to teach many different age groups, (2nd, 4th, and 10th, 11th, and 12th) and my love for the kids and the subjects continues to grow.
Rochelle holds a very special place in my heart as my father, brother and I, son, and granddaughters have all graduated from Rochelle ISD.  It is an honor to be a Hornet!
