My name is Natanya Turk. I graduated from Angelo State with a Bachelor’s in English. This will be my fourteenth year in education: seven years at the elementary level in Brady, five years teaching Junior High and High School ELAR in Zephyr, and going on my second year in Rochelle teaching High School English. I am the UIL coordinator for grades 2-12; I coach the Speech and Debate Teams and have been honored to take several students to the Congressional State UIL Competition in Austin the last four years. When I am not burning the midnight oil in my classroom, I have several hobbies that keep me busy. I love to travel the world and experience different cultures. Even though I usually get on a plane to get from one place to another, I also like to jump out of planes for fun. I experienced my first jump this summer and am looking forward to my next jump in the near future. When I’m not traveling or jumping out of planes, I enjoy working outside in my garden or reading a good book. I am very excited to be a part of the Rochelle Hornet Team and am looking forward to a great year of success and achievement at all levels.
