Each person will need to perform the Prologue monologue for me. You have full control over how you want to say this monologue and what actions you want to make. It doesn’t need to be memorized, but I don’t want you to just stand there and read it to me because I promise you I have already read it. I want to see you ACT! Tell the story, make it interesting, get me to WANT to see the rest of the play. After the monologue auditions we will have the scenes. There are five scenes, each with different characters. You must audition with at least 2 of these scenes as 2 different characters, but there is no limit to how many of these scenes you can do. If there is a particular character you wish to audition for, then do a scene with that character in it. If you want to do the same scene as different characters, you are more than welcome to. You will be paired up with others who want to audition for the other characters in each scene. Practice these scenes with your friends! Get used to the way the scene goes so that you aren’t just reading it to me because I promise I’ve read them too. Decide how you think that character would act/talk and PRACTICE! This is your chance to show me how well you can do those characters. The better you prepare, the better your chance of getting the part you want. After people have done the scenes they want to do, if there’s still time, I will put you in scenes that I want to see. This might mean you are reading a part for the first time, so try to at least read through all the scenes a few times before auditions so you are prepared to perform any of them.
