Mission Statement

by Norman Fryar
August 2, 2008

The staff of Rochelle Independent School District is dedicated to teaching all students, regardless of their previous academic performance, family background, socioeconomic status, race, color, or gender. We believe that our purpose is to educate students so that they meet or exceed the academic standards required for graduation as well as learn the emotional behaviors and attitudes necessary to function in society. Improved performance, including the indicators of preferred levels of academic performance such as test scores, will be the desired result with the implementation of successful teaching strategies.
Therefore, with these strategies in place we can expect all student grades will reflect these higher levels of academic excellence. The information from the curriculum being taught will instill a knowledge base on which to build a lifelong learning and behavior pattern, which will make each student a self- supporting,
contributing member of society.
